Looking for some ideas for Valentine's Day in your classroom? I have rounded up some of my favorites to share with you.
Regrouping always proves to be a challenge for my lil' pups. I try to reinforce the skill whenever I have a chance. My kids love these adorable task cards. You can hear them talking about which puppy they like best.
Telling time in five minute intervals is another challenging skill that we cover in February. I love the versatility of these cards because I can use them for matching activities, memory games, and as go fish cards.
I use this task card set for early finishers. They cover a variety of skills and give meaningful practice in a fun way. My kids earn Doggie Dollars (our class money) for each set of cards they complete with at least 80% accuracy.
Dictionary Skills are another challenging topic we will be tackling this month. This unit has exactly what I need to help my lil' pups be successful!

If you are looking for a heartwarming video to share with your students....check out Franklin's Valentine. Franklin has made Valentine cards for his classmates and can't wait to give them the cards he has made. But when Franklin gets to school, he realizes that the cards are missing. Franklin is heartbroken and worries that now his friends won't want to give him any cards. However, Franklin soon learns that he has great friends and that he can be a good friend, too.

We write a letter to each of our classmates prior to Valentines Day. Each letter is placed in the their Valentine box and not read until our Valentine's party. It is the highlight of the party each year. You can download the template for FREE by clicking on the image above.
