I really can't believe May is already here.  That means Summer is just over the horizon!!!!  I have spent a lot of time on Pinterest trying to find the perfect.....yet simple....gift for Mother's Day.  Take a look at some of the ideas that I found.

I love this idea!  I am thinking I will have my 2nd graders create it on poster board so they have room for their hands and feet.

I love the simplicity of this idea!

These would definitely take a little more time but they would make such a precious keepsake.

  1. Love the plate idea- I do a trivet this way, but I'll look for plates. And I gotta do some fingerprint flowers for sure. Thanks! Kathleen Kidpeople Classroom

  2. Thank you for another great month of Pick 3! It is my favorite! I have done something similar as the plates but used white tiles bought from Home Depot. They were under $1. We needed to use sharpies and spray them with a sealer. They came out awesome! Parents love these keepsakes! Thanks again for the link up!

  8. My 5th graders created their bodies using the perspective activity!! It was a lot of fun but a bit difficult for some, as there are steps and like anything else, some students were on top of the directions and ready to move on and others were obsessed with the details of their shoes, hair, etc. It was a blast and took us 5 days from start to finish with tracing in black crayon and water color! Good luck and post those pics so I can show my students what 2nd graders can do!!
