I gave this pin a try this weekend and it was super simple! Even without a sewing machine, I was able to sew up a couple in under an hour. Once filling with rice, it only took 20-30 seconds to warm in the microwave. These will be great to throw in my jacket pocket on cold mornings.
How absolutely adorable is this? Homemade play dough with all the accessories you need to make

ReplyDeleteThe hand-warmers are great! Although I live in a climate where I may not need them as much, I was wondering, maybe I could put potpourri inside and put them in my drawers and closets. Great gift, as well. Thank you for that idea. Happy New Year :)
ReplyDeleteI love the hand warmers. They will be perfect for those cold afternoons on the soccer field.
ReplyDeleteThe hand warmer idea is the winner this time. I have a half a big bag of rice leftover from another project. I also just cleaned out the closet of several old flannel sheets- I'll go grab them again! Thanks for the share. Kathleen
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas!! Thanks so much for this fun linky!!

Love the idea of the hand-warmers. My granddaughter wants a lesson on how to use her new sewing machine. This would be a great project. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove your picks! I especially like the snowmen, they are so cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the handwarmers! I always wonder about those "hot hands" packets, but this version is completely natural. It's probably possible to like add a couple of drops of an essential oil to make them smell good too! Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI'm going to try those borax snowflakes!
ReplyDeleteI'm dreaming of setting up a snowman factory in our room too. And the borax snowflakes are always a fun project!!
ReplyDeleteI have been reading about the borax snowflakes. I think it would be great with the baking soda and conditioner snow. Thanks for creating the link up!
ReplyDeleteI bet those hand warmers will work great! Someone once made me something similar with a (new) sock filled with rice. It worked great wrapped around my neck for sore shoulder muscles. That rice stays warm for a while.

Oh my goodness! I absolutely love the idea of the hand warmer - especially for Recess Duty! I am always cold!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love these ideas! We did a Snowman Store last year, and the kids had to buy their materials to build their snowman. Worked great with our money unit! Thanks for hosting!
